Prophets of Baal | The Davidian Biblical Research Institute is the apologetic arm of The Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Association. Its commission is the defense and advocation of Present Truth at the Eleventh Hour. It will endeavor to address the many winds of doctrine that have brought confusion, fanaticism, spiritualism, and discord among Davidians and Adventists alike. Its foremost responsibility is the refutation of anti-rodists and critics of Victor T. Houteff within both Davidia and Laodicea—the anti-typical “prophets of Baal.” Its calling stems from when Elijah had his experience with backslidden Israel in the days of Ahab.  It was at Mount Carmel where Elijah brought fire down from heaven which consumed the sacrifice upon the altar after which he slew the prophets of Baal proving he was God’s true prophet.
